Ean Tafoya

Ean Tafoya is an active citizen that believes everyone must do their part and that many hands make light work. This is why Tafoya serves on several municipal advisory committees in addition to volunteering with several service organizations
.Tafoya is currently a board member/member of the Civic Center Conservancy – Young Professionals Leadership Council, Denver Mayor Michael Hancock’s Bicycle Advisory Committee, Capitol Hill United Neighborhoods, Ruby Generations, the Denver Bicycle Report Card, and the Vice President of City Park Jazz. His previous experience includes work with initiatives such as BlockbyBlock, Keep Civic Center Clean, Purify the Platte, Streetcar on Colfax, Denver Days, Denver Arts and Venues Imagine 2020 street team, Campus Raised Organic Produce, Auraria Composts, the Auraria Sustainable Campus – Earth Day Fair, Vice President of the Denver Parks & Recreation Advisory Board and the President of City Park West Neighborhood Organization.
Tafoya’s accolades include being named the Most Outstanding Student from The College of Arts and Sciences and graduated with Magna Cum Laude from Metropolitan State University of Denver. Since graduating he was the recipient of the Commuter Champion Award from the Denver Regional Council of Governments and the Clean Air Hero Award from the Regional Air Quality Council.
Tafoya attributes his passion for life and community to the encouragement of his mother, Cindy Keller, and his mentors. As a child, his mother told him that to be born on Earth Day was a gift and to think and approach life globally. After discussing his candidacy with members of the community, Tafoya has chosen to ask the people of District 9 to make him their representative.
